44th President and other things

Wed Jan 21, 2009, 11:05 AM
I was incredibly impressed yesterday when I heard and saw President Obama's speech.

Not only does he write them himself, he's able to build hope where there was none/very little (me for example), he is able to stand firm in his beliefs (noted many times about the war and the US nation), and he is also very willing to admit that none of the changes he intends are going to happen over night (lets hope America remembers this XD).

Over all, through that speech I grew to respect him-not just the position he held.

Now on to other things!

Can any one raise their hand and tell me if you are working your BUTT off to get your hands on scholarships? I would love to know I'm not the only one!!! T__T

Also working on a little 'guide' of my own, inspired by the wonderful works of :iconchioky: so that will be coming soon-ish.

I've really been in the mood to not study for exams, and to instead work on stuff for DA and scholarships. XD

Very Random:
Urrmmm....Saffie! You reply to stuff really fast! XD

I've been a bad child and haven't really applied to any scholarships.

Yeah, I'm lazy.

Outdated, but I like Obama, I don't know his platform, but I like that he has inspired hope and rallied so many people. I do think though that his popularity far outweighs anything that he might accomplish, whether it be his own fault, or the fault of the system, or whereever it lies. Expectations for him are incredibly high, but at the end of the day, he is just a person.
